The Vandastruts

The Vandastruts are quickly carving out their place as one of Australia’s most exciting new rock acts, blending raw energy with a timeless sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Their story is one of mateship, swagger, and a relentless drive to bring back the unfiltered spirit of rock ’n’ roll.

Hailing from Wollongong, NSW, The Vandastruts are a four-piece powerhouse made up of twins Kane and Tye Hines, alongside their lifelong friends Kayne Micallef and Will Canilles. Together, they channel the fire of rock’s golden eras — the sweat of the ’60s, the swagger of the ’70s, and the grit of the ’80s — while injecting it with a modern edge that’s entirely their own.

Formed in 2020, The Vandastruts wasted no time making noise. Within their first year, they dropped two debut singles and their first EP, even teaming up with Steve Balbi (Noiseworks) to record a track that hinted at their big ambitions. Word spread fast, and soon enough, their name was appearing on bills alongside some of Australia’s best acts — Kingswood, Mi-Sex, Ray Beadle, Little Birdy, The Southern River Band, Thirsty Merc, and Satin Cali.

The Vandastruts’ live shows are where their legend is being built. With ripping guitar solos, thunderous drum breakdowns, and powerhouse vocals, their sets are a high-voltage spectacle that leaves audiences drenched and craving more. Their chemistry on stage is undeniable — a band of brothers who play like their lives depend on it.

Far from being a nostalgia act, The Vandastruts are pushing rock forward with a sound that’s equal parts classic and cutting-edge. Their music is gritty, anthemic, and unapologetically loud — the kind of rock that doesn’t just get played, it gets lived.

With a growing fanbase, a reputation for explosive live performances, and new music on the horizon, The Vandastruts are building serious momentum. They’re not just keeping rock alive — they’re dragging it back into the spotlight, sweat-soaked and louder than ever.

The Vandastruts are here, and they’re only just getting started.
